where do i start. i really wanted to enjoy this course... i really did. I will give this course 2* since I have been with the community for a loooooong time now. THE GOOD: if you need the project files for all his instagram videos - feel free to join this course. it has everything and if you ask in discord, Oly will gladly explain everything for you and give you some nice feedback on what u can improve and how to do so. lots of nice motion designers there too to give you feedback. now for the bad parts. most of the current videos on this course are outdated. not sure why they dont get deleted or revamped? even when people ask for the videos to edit, he always says these videos are outdated and it gets swept under the rug like that's normal? marketing purposes probably? when Oly gets asked for a breakdown video on the hundreds of videos on his instagram (which is why people pay for this course, which is by no means cheap!!) he will most likely ignore you. not sure if he's filled with client work but certainly doesn't give a good impression on the hundreds of people that have paid to have updated content or at least some nice breakdowns on the amazing quality of videos he does. most of his tutorials were with an AI generated with voice too - personally, it doesnt bother me since i'm here only for the hour long videos showing his work. but trust me, none of his most recent, blowing up, trending apple style videos are on the course. as of me writing this review, the apple UI course has 7 videos. most of them are 1 hour long but with only 1 part so you can finish it on your own. he also did a widget module full of text with 1 video only showing how he edits screenshots. until Oly realises we need more breakdowns, proper videos of him doing animations from scratch, getting ideas, thinking out loud, and actually showcasing how he edits and doesn't gatekeep, I don't see this community lasting long. which is a shame, because he's an amazing motion designer and is always levelling up - but for some reason falls off short when he could simply press record and just edit for us to follow along. he would blow up and make a huge amount of money if he simply did that. quite a shame. the main reason I don't give this course a 1 star is simply because the current content on the course is worth it for someone that is decently competent in after effects. if you're a beginner however, i would look somewhere else. GIVE US MORE BREAKDOWNS OLY! Once this happens, I will happily change my review.

I've been using After Effects for about two years now, so I already knew the basics and felt totally comfortable animating with null objects. Even with that background, this course was exactly what I needed to level up. It finally broke down all those small, intricate details behind that sleek, professional "Apple-style" motion design that I've been trying to figure out. The lessons were incredibly practical, the course was great, and it filled the exact gaps in my workflow. Masterclass.

The course unfortunately did not match my expectations based on how it was advertised. A large portion of the content does not include voiceover explanations, and many sections use AI-generated narration that I personally found difficult to follow due to pronunciation mistakes and pacing issues. I also wish there had been more transparency about the course format before purchasing, including how the lessons were presented and access to more detailed reviews beforehand. In my opinion, the amount of content currently included does not justify the price point. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and found the course challenging to follow effectively.

Stop looking for "hacks" and start looking for systems. I entered Editucation with a solid base, but Oly’s framework is where true mastery begins. There is no hand-holding here. No "spoon-feeding." If you need someone to carry you, you’ve already lost. This is raw, high-level logic that demands your absolute focus. You have to sit down, take your time, and reverse-engineer the process until it’s yours. That is how you win. Most people will never invest because they lack the discipline this level requires. But for the few who actually want to build something elite, this is the only path. The results speak for themselves. The question is: are you ready to execute?

If you're completely new to After Effects, this course can provide some foundational value—though expect friction: the AI-generated voiceover frequently glitches, and some tutorial segments or assets appear to be missing. For intermediate users, I cannot recommend it. The lessons focus on what the instructor is doing, not why—there's no breakdown of animation logic, timing choices, or design thinking. Additionally, the project files don't fully match the polished results shown on the creator's Instagram; tutorials use simplified versions that omit key techniques. I also submitted a support request about missing content and received no response. At €60, I expected clearer instruction, complete assets, and basic support. If you're a beginner on a tight budget, proceed with caution. If you have any prior experience, look elsewhere.
